Exciting new tourism initiative for Erris

A new Erris Beo initiative is set to transform the tourism industry for the North West Mayo area and promote the Barony of Erris as an outstanding cultural and natural heritage destination.

The new initiative involves a wide range of strategies including, for example, various marketing activities, media programmes, organisation of tourist-related courses, and mobile phone applications. However, at the heart of this initiative will be a state-of-the-art new website, which will feature regularly updated information and images about anything and everything that the area has to offer tourists – B&Bs, hotels, restaurants, pubs, cafés, shops, fishing, sea angling, boating, windsurfing, kiteboarding, diving, golfing, horse riding, bowling, island trips, bicycle rentals, concerts, theatre shows, exhibitions, guided walks and sculpture trails, to name just a few!

However, the crucial difference with this particular website, which will be manned on a daily basis, is that it will be possible to book anything on it.

Over €50,000 is being invested in the development of tourism in the area and the website will be included in this, as it will be the primary marketing and promotional site for the Erris area.
