With the most depressing month of the year almost behind us, it is heartening to reveal that amidst all the current doom and gloom over 90 per cent of Mayo businesses are optimistic about the year ahead.
That’s according to the Quality Business Alliance which has conducted a random survey amongst its Mayo based business members, including the areas of commercial services and technology.
The survey examined the concerns of 100 businesses when it comes to the working year ahead and reveals some interesting statistics.
Top of the list of concerns was revealed to be ‘getting paid’ which was listed as the number one concern for just over two thirds of the 100 businesses surveyed.
The second most widespread concern was generating new business, which also accounted for 10 per cent of the Irish businesses surveyed listing this as their number one worry.
These were then followed by concerns about staying in business and HR issues, each holding the top spot for seven per cent of the companies surveyed and then credit insurance and the ability to restock accounting for six per cent and three per cent respectively.
