The Lynch Hotel Group, which owns seven hotels, have been appointed receivers to two of its hotels — with Breaffy House Hotel, Castlebar being one of them.
In 2009 the group emerged from examinership. The group, whose head office is based in Co Clare, employ 500 people throughout its hotels.
On Thursday the managing director of the company, Michael Lynch, issued a statement to a local Clare radio station in which he said that he will work with the receivers to ensure that jobs would be protected and that the hotels remain open.
