Pilates classes will commence in Ballina this month, with the classes providing exercise for both the body and mind. By attending these classes you will gain flatter abdominals, have improved posture, a stronger core stability, increased flexibility, relief from back pain, stress relief, stronger and leaner muscles, greater mind and body awareness, and it will assist in injury prevention.
The PPA progressive Pilates advanced instructor, Caroline Slowey Gill, has just completed a course called body restoration and balance for women living with breast cancer — helping women restore postural balance and wellbeing. It introduces relaxation/alignment, flexibility both corrective and maintenance, working for each individual’s ability/capability. Pilates is one of the best exercises to do both during and after pregnancy. Pilates is great at building core strength. If your abdominals, back, and pelvic floor muscles are toned, they will support a more comfortable pregnancy and delivery. Pilates is also famous for helping new mums get their figures back after baby is born.
Classes commence on January 24. Call Caroline on 087 948 6695 to book as places are limited.
