A meeting of the officer board of Castlebar Fianna Fail Comhairle Ceantar was held on Wednesday to finalise end of year matters and to hold preliminary discussions on the forthcoming general election. John Hamrock, chairman, presided at the meeting.
It was agreed to defer consideration of a possible Castlebar candidate to succeed Deputy Beverley Flynn and of a general strategy pending confirmation from FF headquarters as to the number of candidates to be selected.
