The Irish Heart Foundation is urging everyone to get the New Year off to a good start by volunteering with heart to mark the European Year of Volunteering 2011. The national charity fighting heart disease and stroke depends hugely on the generosity of volunteers all over Ireland who give up their time to carry out church gate collections throughout the year, sell happy hearts in May or organise their own fundraising events.
