Claremorris Soccer Club and the Claremorris Colts RFC are combining forces on St Stephen's Day for a tournament to beat all others. You may have heard the saying before but SocTag is most definitely a game of two halves, with participants playing half a game of soccer and half a game of tag rugby.
Registration for men and women (over 18 ) is at 11.30am on Stephen's Day at the main soccer pitch in Claremorris and, even if you have never played either soccer or tag rugby before, go along on December 26. Teams will be mixed and picked out of a hat on the day. Girl tries and goals will be worth three points, while lads will get just one point for their efforts. Entry is €5 per player and all money raised will be divided between the two local clubs. There will be great fun and games from beginning to end and this is an event you simply will not want to miss. So, grab your friends, family, house-mates, neighbours and whoever else you can pick up along the way and go along on December 26.
