A 34-year-old woman was before Castlebar District Court this week for the theft of a bottle of brandy and cigarettes from Hanley’s shop in Castlebar.
Gardaí were notified about the theft on November 21 at 12.45pm. CCTV identified one of the culprits as Clare Walsh, Cloonkeen, Westport Road, Castlebar.
The defendant, who has an alcohol dependancy, had no previous convictions.
Judge Mary Devins applied the Probation Act.
