Knockmore Parish Hall Development Committee are raising funds for a hall for the area and this weekend are presenting a Country Gospel concert with James Kilbane in the Church of Christ the King, Knockmore.
The inspirational concert gets underway at 8pm and promises great night of music. Fancy dress party in Achill
A fancy dress party in aid of the Mayo Mountain Rescue team will take place in Ted Lavelle’s Pub, Cashel, Achill Island on Saturday October 25 from 9pm onwards. There will be loads of spot prizes for those in fancy dress and a great night of fun is guaranteed.
Mayo Mountain Rescue will also be holding their church gate collection in Westport this Saturday and Sunday October 25 and 26 at all Masses.
Lidl Castlebar assisted with German lessons!
First and second year students of German, in Davitt College, Castlebar recently made a visit to Lidl Castlebar, where they were informed about German food products and tasted some German foods, and all enjoyed an informative and fun visit. All pupils also received a bag full of German treats to take home.
The visit was arranged by the school in consultation with the Regional Manager of Lidl for the west of Ireland, Mr JP Scally, and the staff of Davitt College would like to extend its heartfelt thanks to Lidl Castlebar who have most definitely enhanced the teaching and learning of the German language at Davitt College.
Ballina Toastmasters
Ballina Toastmasters meet every second and fourth Thursday in the Courthouse Hotel at 8.30pm.

Coffee morning
