Back for your Christmas entertainment for the first time in 14 years is the pantomime in Ballina. The cast and crew of Cinderella With A Kick are busy putting their finishing touches to what promises to be a hilarious and entertaining show for all the family.
Scripted with an exciting mix of tradition and wit by Elaine Tighe, the story of Cinderella will unfold in an unusual fashion with a local twist. The show is directed by Carmel Tuffy and a number of special local talents have been unearthed to bring this show to the stage. Keeping with tradition, several members of the cast and crew who were involved in the panto in the 1990s will be returning to the stage to bring the laughter, song, and dance back to the stage in Ballina. The show, which has been overseen by Patricia Browne and the Ballina Stephenites supporters club, is a must see for all the family and one that should be on your cards for some early New Year entertainment. Starring in the show will be Shane Loftus as Prince Richie and Andrea Gavin as Cinderella with Peter Browne taking on the role of Buttons, with many, many more in supporting roles.
Tickets are on sale from Hot Shot records and cost €10 for adults and €6 for under 12s. The show will run for four nights from Wednesday January 5 to Saturday January 8 in the Convent of Mercy Hall on Convent Hill from 8pm with doors opening at 7.15pm sharp.
