An application for CCTV for Westport is moving “on track” with a new application to be submitted in the coming days.
Members of the Westport joint policing committee were informed by the town clerk Anne Moore that new costings for the CCTV system have been completed. Superintendent of Westport, Mick Murray, said that these new “realistic” costings will then be resubmitted to Garda headquarters immediately.
Cathaoirleach of the town council, Tereasa McGuire, welcomed the move.
