The legendary comic duo D’Unbelievables, Pat Shortt and Jon Kenny, are delighted to announce that they will be reuniting for a one-off nationwide tour to include The Royal Theatre, Castlebar on March 25 and 26 2011.
D’Unbelievables enjoyed almost cult status in their heyday with their high-energy live shows travelling around Ireland entertaining audiences with glimpses inside the surreal, slightly creepy and downright hilarious side of Irish rural society. After touring extensively all over Ireland for almost a decade both men went their separate ways in 2000, exploring independent careers in TV, movies and music.
“We met up regularly over the past few years and often thought seriously about bringing all these wild characters back to life,” says Jon. “We both felt that now was the time, and we can’t wait. It’s going to be great – hard work, but great!” And Pat chimes in, “The show is a high energy act and we’re both getting on so if we were ever going to do it, we had to do it now! We are both very excited about it and we are having great craic rehearsing together again!”
