Elverys Sports, the family-owned business of Stauntons in Castlebar, has teamed up with the ISPCC which it has now designated as its official charity partner. The partnership, which will involve all 54 Elverys Sports stores, will raise vital funds for the ISPCC enabling the charity to reach out to and support thousands of Irish children currently facing adversity in their lives. A fundraising initiative just launched is the sale of a stylish gym bag for €2 with all proceeds benefiting the ISPCC. The gym bag is available in a variety of colours making it the perfect stocking filler gift for Christmas.
“We couldn’t think of a better charity partner than the ISPCC,” said Claire Cunnane, marketing assistant at Elverys Sports. “We believe that sport plays a vital developmental role for children of all ages and as such, Elverys Sports has a perfect opportunity to provide benefit both in terms of fundraising and the promotion of sport among children.”
