New year new career at Anne Tobin Beauty Salon

Look forward to the New Year by signing up for a brand new career at Anne Tobin Beauty College in Castlebar. Course options include everything from beauty, make-up artistry and nail extensions to weight loss and sports therapy.

Anne Tobin has been in the beauty business for over 25 years and is delighted to bring a wealth of experience to her clients and students alike.

Anne studied in Ireland’s first beauty college in Dublin and then went on to teach there before opening her innovative beauty clinic in Castlebar in 1984. She worked in London and trained as a nail technologist and has introduced this very popular course in her college in Castlebar.

In her beauty clinic Anne has the world-renowned Dermalogica and Guinot skincare ranges and offers free skin analysis to suit client needs. These facials and products treat all skin types and problems varying from acne to dry and mature ageing skin.

The Guinot lift treatment is based on the medical treatment for Bell’s palsy and tightens both muscles and skin, preventing ageing. It is described as a mini gym work out for the face.

Anne also supplies the Cambridge diet, a medically approved supplement leading to a pound a day weight loss. It is ideal for those who wish to lose weight quickly and one of Anne’s clients won Slimmer of the Year in 2002 in the whole of the British Isles. Anne’s work with the Cambridge diet features in the 20th year anniversary book published by its founder, Dr Alan Howard.

Nail extensions are a speciality at the Anne Tobin beauty clinic offering gel and acrylic nail treatments. Specialised waxing and the very popular callus heel pedicures are also available along with many other beauty treatments.

Anne Tobin recently moved her clinic in Newline to the college and its already popular beauty clinic on site run by the very experienced Deborah McAndrews and Anne Tobin.

Anne is now able to offer a very upmarket clinic with free car parking and a lift in sumptuous and easily accessed premises.

Her college is now offering new courses in Reflexology, make-up artistry (covering theatre, media and photography styles ), and sports massage staring in the New Year.

The teacher training diploma starting in January 2011 is excellent for graduates who also would like to go into management.

Other courses available are the ITEC and CIBTAC beauty specialist, holistic massage, electrolysis, advanced waxing, Indian head massage, hot stone, make-up, waxing, manicures, pedicures and spray tan.
