Up to 70 gardaí and members of the Armed Response Unit and the Criminal Assets Bureau raided houses in Ballina on Thursday morning.
During the course of the searches, carried out as part of an operation targeting organised crime in the area, gardaí seized a substantial amount cash in Euro and Sterling. They also seized two high value vehicles and documents. No arrests were made.
