The Achill Sound Sewerage Scheme is to enter test mode this month, members of the Belmullet Electoral Area Committee were informed on Tuesday.
Power will be connected to the plant by November 9, where functional testing will commence. After this, a month of running waste water into the facility and treating it will take place. Once this test phase is over it will be handed over to the contractor, who will run the facility, on January 1 2011.
