Castlebar call centre to create eight new jobs

A Castlebar Call Centre is to create eight new jobs after securing a customer services contract with a national mobile operator company.

Kaptec, based at Moneen, Castlebar and with operations in Asia and the US, already employs 35 staff serving a number of multi-national clients including HP, IBM, Dell, Google, Eircom, and Slendertone, and management have ambitious plans to grow the business further.

The company was founded in 2006 and in addition to call centre operations also provides sales and marketing advice to help customers grow their business.

As part of the new contract agreement, Kaptec will provide support, 8am until 8pm, seven days a week to JUST Mobile customers nationwide. Initially, the contract will create eight jobs at Kaptec’s customer service centre in Castlebar, but this number is expected to increase as business grows.

“We are delighted to win this contract and look forward to working as a strategic partner with JUST Mobile,” said Chaz Mirza, CEO of Kaptec. “As an Irish company, established in 2006, we currently employ 35 people, and place a huge emphasis on consistently delivering a high quality customer experience. The JUST Mobile business will provide a welcome boost to our operations, helping to support our ambitious growth plans.”

Donal Lawless, co-founder and managing director of JUST Mobile, added:

“We are excited about this partnership. Kaptec will deliver first-rate customer service for our customers as well as helping us to deliver on our promise of supporting indigenous Irish business. The importance of Irish companies working together to create and maintain employment in Ireland cannot be stressed enough at present. This is about kicking the recession just where it hurts - we are proud to be Irish and we want to support other Irish businesses.”
