A 47-year-old married, father of two, was disqualified from driving for two years at this week’s sitting of Ballina District Court.
Christopher Fergus, 27 Lyndhurst, Castlecourt, Ballina failed a roadside breath test at a checkpoint on September 12. The defendant later provided a breath sample at the garda station which showed a concentration of 47mg of alcohol per 100ml of breath.
Judge Mary Devins convicted and fined the rural social scheme worker €350 and disqualified him from driving for two years.
