Jackie Clarke Library

Almost €1 million has been sanctioned for the Jackie Clarke Library and archive project in Ballina by Fáilte Ireland.

This is the most important private collection of Irish history in public hands and comprises more than 100,000 artefacts spanning 400 years of history. This funding, added to the financial commitments already in place from Mayo County Council, will allow the collection to be displayed to the highest international standards and make it one of the most important cultural tourism projects in the country.
