Fans of country will be delighted to hear that Mike Denver and Ray Lynam are coming together for a concert in Castlebar next March for one night only.
Having been voted the most successful festival band for the summer 09, in addition to a great 2010, Mike also won vocalist of the year award two years in a row. Mike also recorded a duet with American country singer Hal Ketchum, and had a top 20 hit when he did a duet with Liam O' Connor, both tracks are on his new album.
Over the past few years Mike has become a household name on the live music circuit with his charm, looks, personality and exciting stage presentation and this show also featuring legend Brendan Bowyer is set to be very exciting.
Ray Lynam is also incredibly popular on the country circuit, and last played The Royal Theatre in June 2009 at a benefit concert. During their years together Ray and The Hillbillies had a string of hits including ‘Gypsy Joe and Me’, ‘The Selfishness of Man’, ‘Rosie Bouquet’. ‘Second Handed Flowers’, ‘Papa’s Wagon’, ‘The Light’s On in the Hall’, and ‘The Gambler’.
