A Halloween fancy dress party with a difference will take place at Bar Ritz (Mulroy’s Bar ), Castlebar, on Saturday October 30 as Finbar Hoban Presents... Fright Night Movie Night.
The theme is to dress up as your favourite movie character, whether it be Edward Scisscorhands or Dracula. The Bar Ritz venue will be turned into a Halloween fortress for one night only, with four amazing rock acts from Limerick city. Plus, there is going to be the hugely popular Michael Jackson dance-off, where members of the members of the public will be asked to re-enact the zombie dance from the legendary Thriller video.
The live entertainment comes from the brilliant punk rock group, We Should Be Dead. We Should Be Dead’s first album Forget Romance Let’s Dance was nominated for a Meteor Award in 2007. We Should Be Dead relocated to Los Angeles in January 2009 to begin work on their now complete second album Dreamstate.
Support on the night comes from Limerick neighbours, Windings; Last Days of Death Country; We Come In Pieces; and a DJ set from Marc Conway.
On the night there will be best dressed prizes — €100 for first, €50 for second, and €30 for third.
The thrilling night kicks off at 9.30pm sharp and admission is only €6.
