Those in charge of setting the fixture list for division one of next years National Football League must see an end in sight for the log running planning dispute surrounding the redevelopment of McHale Park. The official fixture list for the league has Mayo pencilled in to open their account in the league at home to All Ireland finalists Down on Saturday February 5.

In round two Mayo will host Kerry in McHale Park on Sunday February 20, they will follow that up with a trip to Galway the following Sunday in the third round. Mayo’s next home game will be on March 13, when Armagh make the trip to Castlebar. The Sunday after that game, Mayo will head to the capital to take on Dublin. After heading to Páirc Uí Chaoimh last season, the all Ireland champions will return the favour this year and come to Castlebar on Sunday April 3. The final round of action in the group stages of the league sees Mayo head to the Farney county to take on Monaghan on Sunday April 10.

In last week’s draw for the 2011 Connacht Championship, Mayo were drawn out to face Galway in the Connacht semi-final provided they over come Leitrim in the semi final.
