Celebrations are ongoing at Just Desserts, Winners of the Blas na hEireann Irish Food Awards 2010 in Category three, Puddings and Desserts. “We are delighted to have won the Gold not only for Just Desserts but to also to bring a feel-good factor back to Mayo with us from Dingle” said Brian Campbell of Just Desserts.
Just Desserts Ltd was established in Castlebar in 2003 by confectioner Brian Campbell and his wife Bernie. The company creates and produces innovative confectionery products for the Irish market.
Brian’s 25 years’ industry experience includes eight years in the US, developing speciality confectionery products. On his return to Ireland, Brian spent seven years as a bakery and food production manager, five in the wholesale market, before he and Bernie opened Just Desserts.
“We are now entering our eighth year in business and now more than ever, we are aware that the market is always changing. In response, we are constantly updating our product range to satisfy the consumer”, explained Brian.
“As we all know, the downturn has affected many small and medium sized businesses. Here at Just Desserts we have adapted our product range to meet the needs of retailers, who are struggling in the current climate. We offer good quality products that are affordable because we buy our ingredients in bulk and at the best prices.”
