A woman who parked her car in a disabled space was disqualified from driving for one year and fined at Castlebar District Court on Wednesday.
Garda John Flanagan observed a car parked in a disabled space in Market Square, Castlebar, on March 25 at 1.07pm. The driver of the car, Margaret Fitzpatrick, Dooniver, Achill, was issued with a fixed charge penalty, but this has not been paid.
The defendant, who was not in court, has no previous convictions.
Judge Mary Devins convicted and fined her €500 and disqualified her from driving for one year.
