Second level pupils from schools in Mayo, Galway, Roscommon, and other counties are attending an open information session hosted by GMIT Castlebar today (Friday October 8 ).
The event, running from 10am to 1pm for Leaving Certificate and transition year students, parents, mature students, and the general public was set up to highlight programmes in the Castlebar campus, including business, technology, construction, heritage, outdoor education, nursing, and applied social studies.
“Now is a good time for transition and Leaving Cert pupils to check out their options, so there’s plenty of time to decide which programme to apply for,” said Anne Donnelly of GMIT Castlebar. “Remember the closing date for CAO applications is February 1 2011.”
