Business achievers awards launched by Ulster Bank

Top-performing businesses could win €50,000 worth of national newspaper advertising and a course at Harvard University in a competition just launched by Ulster Bank.

The awardscelebrate business success, and shortlisted Connacht businesses will be rewarded at provincial level at an event in early February 2011 with winners going on to compete for the national title at an all-island awards ceremony in April 2011.

Companies will be judged on sales performance, market share growth, company milestones, innovative new products or services, and successful achievements by key personnel.

A new category has also been introduced – The Service Business Award.

Entries are open to established businesses, start-ups, and entrepreneurs whose businesses have achieved significant success, development, and growth.

The overall winner will receive a comprehensive prize package including an Executive Education programme at Harvard University Business School, €50,000 worth of advertising space in the Irish Independent, and a one year membership of the Institute of Directors.
