More than 100 teenagers from the west and north west No Name clubs will gather to discuss health in Castlebar tomorrow, October 2.
The regional conference will focus on key issues that affect the national youth organisation’s teenage members and their peers.
The No Name Club has organised the regional conference to engage with its members through a series of workshops that will focus on issues that include alcohol awareness, drug awareness, mental health, road safety, and healthy eating (featuring a live cookery demonstration ). The event will take place at the Welcome Inn Hotel from 10.30am to 7pm.
There are 13 No Name clubs in Mayo, which are run by and for young people aged 15 years plus, to provide them with activities and events that are delivered in safe and lively settings without the pressure of alcohol or other drugs.
