As more than 9,700 secondary school students in Mayo wake up to a new school year this week, Focus Ireland is calling on them to set their alarms as a reminder to sign up for the charity’s annual Schoolmates Sleepover.
Focus Ireland hopes the novel fundraiser will see students in Mayo and around the country raise some €30,000 to help fund its vital services which support young people who are homeless and prevent others from becoming homeless.
The Focus Ireland Schoolmates Sleepover, which is sponsored by SPIN South West, takes place on October 15 and school teams can register now by phoning 1850 204205.
All sleepover teams receive an information pack with sponsorship cards, wrist bands, parental consent forms, and fundraising tips to help get them organised. www.focusireland.ie
