The Claremorris Open Exhibition runs until September 25.
This year the award winners were Fiona Murray of Newquay, who received the sum of €4,000 for her works Light Floater and Faith in Wordless Knowledge; Paraic Leahy of Thurles who was awarded €2,500 for his painting Girl on Grain; and Seamus McCormack of Mullingar who received €1,500 for his video projection Galatea.
Some 200 individual works including painting, photography, sculpture, installation and video by 41 artists can be viewed in five galleries in the town. A map and further information is available at the COE office in Chapel Lane, Claremorris.
