The King’s legacy celebrated in style

The King of Rock ‘n Roll, Elvis Presley was celebrated in style on the 33 anniversary of his death, in a spectacular night in Kyteler’s Inn, Kilkenny recently.

It was a night for all present to remember, kicked off with a screening of the King’s famous 1968 television comeback special, before the Memphis Cats featuring the ‘Memphis Horns’, piano and the ‘Memphis Kittens’ choir brought some Las Vegas style showmanship to the Kilkeny venue.

Place went wild as the ‘Cats hit the stage and there was singing and dancing, and even some tears as the band sang ‘American Trilogy’.

The Memphis Cats would like to offer their special thanks to those who made the night possible, particularly Maggie, Helen, Lizzie, Pat Moore, Kieran Kelly, Diarmuid Duff, Peter Flynn, Peter Roberts, Sion Salmon and the Edwina Grace radio show.
