Ballinrobe District Court amalgamated into Castlebar

From September 1 the District Court Area of Ballinrobe will be amalgamated into the District Court Area of Castlebar, which means that cases which were heard at the Ballinrobe sitting will now be heard at any sitting of Castlebar District Court.

According to a notice which was circulated by the chief clerk of Castlebar District Court, Peter Mooney, Ballinrobe District Court, which used to sit on the fourth Friday of each month, will now become a normal sitting of the District Court in Castlebar.

Castlebar District Court will now sit on the first and third Wednesday and fourth Friday of each month. In January, March, May, July, September, and November the court will also sit on the fourth Thursday. All sittings take place at 10.30am.
