An information seminar will be run by Mayo County Council in partnership with Castlebar Camber of Commerce on the new Waste Management (Food Waste ) Regulations. The seminar will also cover ways of minimising food waste in the catering sector.
The Food Waste Regulations will affect all those who are involved in the preparation or supply of food on their premises. This includes: hotels, guest houses, B&Bs, restaurants, pubs, nursing homes, hospitals, schools, factories, supermarkets, and shops.
Businesses are invited to attend this free seminar so that they will be fully aware of the regulations which came in to effect on July 1.
The seminar will take place on Monday August 30 from 9.30am to 11.30am in the TF Royal Hotel, Castlebar.
