Win a pair of tickets to Monroe’s live

Fuaim Chonamara is continuing its successful run at Monroe's live of Dominick St for just two more nights. Following last Thursday night’s sell-out show with capacity crowds, the show will run again on August 28 for one additional night, due to demand, on Thursday, September 2.

Together with special guests Dessie O'Halloran, Caitriona Canavan and Earach, outstanding performances from the Cunninghams and Co are bringing audiences to their feet as the show goes from strength to strength.

Since opening in June, the show has been reviving one of Europe’s oldest dance forms and transforming it in to a wonderful display of dance style, skill and athleticism. The show formed the core of the Galway presence in Stirling for the Stirling Galway Sessions 2010 and was performed live to a crowd of over 10,000 people at the Volvo Ocean Race last year.

Fuaim Chonamara (meaning sound of Connemara ) combines a wealth of talented musicians and dancers from all over the west of Ireland, with the amazing Brian Cunningham headlining the show alongside his four siblings Irene, Ashling, Michael and Lorraine. The show also features Riverdance stars Siobhan Manson and Doireann Carney with guest appearances by singing favourites Dessie O’Halloran and Caitriona Ní Cheannabháin.

The sean-nós show is full of warm-hearted banter, wonderful music and pure, traditional sean-nós dancing in the friendly atmosphere of Monroe's Live. Catch the show while you can with tickets available from Zhivago records and Monroe's Tavern. In a special competition we have two tickets to give away if you can answer the following question correctly. On what street is the landmark Monroe's building located? Email [email protected]. Further details are available from www.fuaimchonamara.ie and www.monroes.ie Doors open at 8pm with the show getting underway at 9pm.
