Nature walks in Letterfrack

Connemara National Park Letterfrack in Co Galway is celebrating Heritage Week with a number of free activities.

On Saturday August 21 at 11am a flag making workshop (materials supplied, booking essential ) will take place, and from 3pm to 4pm there will be a wildlife garden talk. On Sunday August 22 at 12 noon a bat and bird box workshop will take place and from 12 noon to 2pm there will be a demonstration of local traditional skills by an intergenerational group.

On Monday August 23 at 11am there will be a guided nature walk, while from 2pm to 4pm there will be information given on the Connemara pony.

Fun with nature for kids will take place at 11am on the Tuesday, while on the Wednesday at 11am there will be a guided nature walk and from 2pm to 4pm information on the Connemara Pony. A talk that night at 8pm will be about the birds of Connemara.

Again, there will be fun with nature for kids on Thursday August 26. Friday will consist of a guided walk and information on the Connemara Pony. On Saturday August 28 at 11am there will be a flag making workshop and from 3pm to 4pm there will be a wildlife garden talk. From 12pm to 2pm on Sunday August 29 there will be traditional music and dance with local artists and a bat walk at 8.30pm.
