National Heritage Week will take place from August 21 to 29 and Mayo will showcase a number of events.
Sean nós dancing workshops with Emma O'Sullivan will take place in Ballycroy National Park Visitor Centre on Saturday August 28 from 12pm to 4pm. On August 26 and 29, from 6pm to 9pm, ‘Knock: 150 Years Of History 1825-1975’ will take place in Knock Museum, Knock Shrine. A behind the scene tours and conservation workshop of The Jackie Clarke Collection will take place in the Library, Pearse Street, Ballina, on August 21, 27 and 28 from 2pm to 4pm. A wool weaving and rug making demonstration will take place in Ballycroy National Park Visitor Centre, Ballycroy village, on Sunday August 29 from 11am to 4pm. In the same centre on August 21, a Biodiversity Bonanza will take place from 10am to 4pm. A Mulranny Heritage Walk will take place on Sunday August 29 from 10am to 12pm.
