Fine Gael leader Enda Kenny, TD has congratulated the well known retailer, Fahey's of Main Street, Castlebar, on recently reopening their shop which had been closed for some time. The store has started trading again following the complete and careful refurbishment of the historic building.
“It is very positive to witness the reopening of Fahey's on the Main Street which is well-known by the majority of Castlebar people who have passed through its doors at some stage or another,” Deputy Kenny said. “I wish Nancy Fahey, her family and staff every future success with their reopened store in the new premises. The newly constructed building also demonstrates that the Main Street of the town is still a vibrant retail area and adds to the greater enhancement of the street. Once the town centre enhancement scheme is completed, I expect that it will truly boost the image of Castlebar as one of the premier towns in the west of Ireland.”
