Ronan Walsh from Ballindine, Claremorris, has been a kitchen fitter for over 20 years. During this time he discovered that using saws to cut materials in homes created too much dust and disruption, and to cut outside in our very unpredictable weather was not always an option. And so Ronan created a solution to this problem with the invention of Vanopy.
Vanopy is a van canopy which can cater for tradesmen and network companies. Its unique structure allows it to hang independent of supports outside the van which would obstruct work being carried out safely. It consists of a lightweight aluminium frame with PVC cover which fits inside the roof of a van. Once fitted it simply extends and unfolds out to offer overhead cover of approximately 2.3m x 1.3m. When not in use it is stored compactly inside the roof. The cover contains uPC properties which offer all weather protection. The design allows it to fit into any make or model of van. Installation takes approximately 40 mins and setting the Vanopy into place a mere five seconds.
