The BAI representatives will attend on July 15 next at Henehans ( The Bakehouse ) Bridge Street, Westport, at 8pm sharp and the event is an open meeting to which members of the public are invited to attend.

Two members of the Authority will be in attendance on the evening to discuss with those interested the whole process of obtaining a licence to broadcast and to review the application for a westcoast radio station and what it might mean for the community.

Mr Michael Kelly PRO of the Steering Committee Westcoast Fm stated: “We are all very lucky to live in a region with a rich tapestry of community based organisations and initiatives. Westcoast Fm would like to add another layer to the wonderful canvas that makes up Westport on both the national and international stage.
