Check Mayo’s bathing water quality

The Environmental Protection Agency is advising people in Mayo to check bathing water quality this summer using the Splash website, www.bathingwater.ie The EPA’s bathing water quality website provides the latest information on all designated bathing areas in Mayo which has been supplied by the Mayo County Council

Bathing areas in Mayo awarded good quality status were: Bertra, Carrowmore, Dugort, Dooega, Elly Bay, Golden Strand, Keel, Keem, Ross Beach, Silver Strand, Mullaghrow, Mulranny, Ronroe, and The Harbour – Clare Island.

Old Head Beach in Louisburgh was found to be sufficient with no Mayo beaches deemed to be of poor quality.
