Erris No-Name Club in Belmullet has emerged as a runner up in the SuperValu Community Improvement Bursary competition and will be awarded €2,000 from SuperValu for its project to build a multi purpose games area.
Last month SuperValu, in association with The Irish Sun, called for applicants for the €30,000 Community Improvement Bursary. The criteria was to submit a proposal for a project that would show true community spirit, benefit the community for future generations, and give local communities a chance to showcase the best their area has to offer.
Erris No-Name Club‘s proposal involved the refurbishment and redevelopment of the existing dilapidated tennis courts and to provide a new state of the art all weather court.
