Three men appeared before Castlebar Circuit Court on Thursday in relation to stabbing incidents which took place in the early hours of August 16 in Ballinrobe.
Edward Sweeney (21 ), Bog Road, Ballinrobe, pleaded guilty to assault causing serious harm, under section four of the Non Fatal Offences Against the Person Act, on John Francis Reddington; section three assault on Jonathan O’Malley; and section three assault on Patrick Lydon.
Patrick Sweeney (22 ) with an address at Bog Road, Ballinrobe, pleaded guilty to violent disorder which took place on New Street, Ballinrobe, section three assault on Jonathan O’Malley, and section three assault on Patrick Lydon.
James Paul Sweeney (25 ), with a Sligo address, pleaded guilty to violent disorder, assault causing harm on Jonathan O’Malley, and assault on Patrick Lydon.
All three defendants were remanded in custody to Castlebar Circuit Court sitting in October.
