Government’s plans for WDC are ‘out of order’

The Council for the West has rejected as “out of order” any Government moves to subsume the Western Development Commission into Enterprise Ireland.

This hardline stance from the Council comes following a report in the Irish Independent on Monday which stated that the WDC has recently been “formally asked to comment on the feasibility and impact on being subsumed into Enterprise Ireland” by the Department of Community, Rural and Gaeltacht affairs.
