Ballina Arts Centre has an exciting range of summer camps for children this year aimed at developing children’s creativity. Designed for pre-teens and run by professionals, the July First Steps in Music Summer Camp from Monday July 12– Friday July 16 or Monday July 19 – Friday July 23 offers a great introduction to music-making, as follows:
First Steps in Music: Offering a nurturing environment for parents and children aged three/four to develop a love of music-making. Times: 10-10:45am / Cost: €25.
First Steps in Music (ages five and six ) based on learning music through singing and instruments. Times: 11-12:30pm / Cost: €40.
First Steps in Music: (ages seven, eight, and nine ). The recorder is used interchangeably with the voice in singing games and other musical activities. Times: 1-2:30pm / Cost: €40.
In August, the Drama Summer Camp designed to develop children's confidence and creativity will run from Monday August 9-Friday August 13. Times: five-seven year olds: 10.30am-12.30pm; eight-10 year olds: 1.30-3.30pm. Price €40. Pre-booking essential.
