Mayo get Longford in the qualifiers

GAA:

Mayo's road to possible redemption has seen them drawn with Longford in the first round of the qualifiers. The draw which took place on Sunday evening, pits John O'Mahony's dethroned Connacht champions against the midlands men who were knocked out of the Lenister championship by Louth in Portlaoise.

Mayo avoided a number of tough sides in the competition who also were knocked out of their provincial championship in the first round such Derry, Kildare and Armagh. The game which it appears won't take place in McHale Park despite Mayo being drawn out of the hat first, as Longford played away in the opening round of the qualifiers last year. The match is provisionally penciled in for Saturday evening on June 26.
