An unemployed father of three from Lithuania who, after he attended his brother’s graduation night, attempted to head-butt a man outside a nightclub, was before Castlebar District Court this week for being threatening and abusive.
Garda Michelle Conroy, who was on duty on May 27 at 2.30am, received a call about a disturbance outside the TF Hotel. When the garda arrived, she observed Marius Kuksta, Rooskeybeg, Claremorris, staggering in the middle of the street and saw the drunk defendant try to head-butt another male. Kuksta was abusive towards Garda Conroy and backup was called.
The 26-year-old man was convicted and fined €250 by Judge Aeneas McCarthy.
