A Ballina man who parked his pick-up truck in a disabled bay was disqualified from driving for two years by Judge Mary Devins.
At Ballina District Court on Tuesday, the court heard that Garda Thomas Bowens observed a vehicle belonging to Terry Collins, The Commons, Foxford Road, Ballina parked in a disabled space in the Market Square Car Park in Ballina on December 12 2009. An on the spot fine was issued but not paid.
Collins, who has previous convictions, was not in court or represented. Judge Devins convicted and fined him €500 and disqualified him from driving.
