Get ready for the Walk Tall Fashion Show, the Linenhall Arts Centre’s fashion event of the year which will take place on Thursday June 10.
Fifteen new designers from the Castlebar area will re-fashion and upstyle outfits from Castlebar’s charity retail outlets.
Participants in the Walk Tall Fashion Project have been nominated by Mayo Travellers Support Group, Mayo Intercultural Action, and Castlebar Neighbourhood Youth. It is hoped that through taking part in this project they will develop, or further develop, skills in design, sewing, needle work, and deportment; boost their self esteem; and have the opportunity to literally walk tall and stand proudly in the spotlight in their local community.
