Places are available for a full-time local training initiative in performing arts, a FETAC Level 5 course, which will take place in Belmullet.

A film foundation course will also take place over seven weekends, commencing on Saturday May 29. This is a practical course, in conjunction with Áras Inis Gluaire and Galway Film Centre, with the with modules in: screenwriting, production, direction, camera, lighting, sound, and editing. Áras Inis Gluaire is also running a series of part-time introductory and professional level training courses to support the development of the digital media sector in north west Mayo. Training will be offered at a reduced rate, in the areas of film, documentary, animation, gaming, and web technologies.
