A Dublin woman who was arrested for a breach of the peace and was found in possession of BZP was given the probation act and fined €100 in Claremorris District Court this week.
Edel Isaacson, 13 Ballyogan, Crescent, Carrickmines, Dublin 18, was arrested by Garda John Coen at 3am on August 15 in Clareville Estate, Claremorris, for a breach of the peace. After she was arrested she was brought to Claremorris Garda station, where her handbag was searched and a small amount of BZP powder was found inside. Isaacson pleaded guilty in court to the possession charge and was fined €100 which Judge Mary Devins directed be paid to the Alzheimer’s Association of Ireland.
