A Polish man who stole a handbag in a night-club was convicted and fined €300 in Claremorris District Court this week.
Tomas Slowinski, 18 Gratton Close, Gratton Manor, Balla Road, Claremorris, pleaded guilty to the charge in court. Garda Donal Raftery told the court that he got a call to attend a night-club in the town where the security staff had detained Slowinski, after they saw him pick up a Guess handbag and go to the men’s toilets where they found him in a cubicle going through the contents. All contents were recovered at the scene and Slowinski pleaded guilty in court.
